Stoke's Circus Casino hosts women's poker night

Circus Casino Stoke hosted the inaugural event for the Betfred Women’s Poker Tour on Saturday 23 June, welcoming more than 1000 visitors and about 200 newcomers to the venue.

71 female competitors took part in the poker event, which offered cash prizes totalling more than £8,000. Keen to find out more about the event, the Stoke Sentinel were present to take photographs of some of the winners and Betfred's film crew interviewed Stanley Casino's regional director, Mark Ross and the clip can be viewed on their website and on YouTube.

Mark Ross commented on the success of the evening:
"Top women poker players from across the country attended the event and it turned into a great night out for everyone. We wish the Betfred Women's Poker Tour all the best for the rest of their tour and the Grand Final event later this year. "It was particularly nice to see so many newcomers and we hope many of them will come choose to visit a Stanley Casino again in the near future."
