Birmingham Casinos Support St Basils

Our Birmingham casinos are continuing to support their chosen charity St Basils, the organisation dedicated to supporting the city's homeless, with a range of fundraising initiatives.

The first fundraiser was a staff poker competition organised by Star City General Manager, Dave Scott. After several knockout rounds the final held at the Star City Casino resulted in George Mwangi taking the title in a final battle with Nathan Thomas.

Two teams from Star City Casino and Maxims also took part in the recent St Basils Walk joining with 700 other walkers across sixteen miles of the Cotswolds.

So far we have raised over £1300.00.

The aim of the Birmingham casinos is to raise £15,000 to completely refurbish an IT Room at one of St Basils facilities in the city.

Genting UK are also supporting St Basils, in partnership with the NEC Group, to provide training for a number of young people looking to improve their skills to gain greater employment opportunities. This joint initiative will take place at the dedicated Learning Zone situated at the National Exhibition Centre.
