Charity Events at Mint Casino Torquay

On 7th November 2009 Torquay Mint held a Charity Poker night in connection with Heart FM.

We had 37 entries in total. It was a £20 buy-in, of which £5 was donated to the Have a Heart charity fund.

Apart from the prize pool there were additional prizes such as 2 tickets to a Torquay United football match for the first person to get a straight flush, royal flush, or four of a kind. Also bottles of wine and chocolates were won - with winning hands of 7/2 and 9/2 respectively.

We charged no registration fee or staff charges for the event, and the total prize pool split between winners was £945.

The total raised for the charity fund was £315.

On 20th November Victoria Kennedy and Alex Evans (both dealers) will have done a Charity Parachute Jump for Children in Need. They are well on their way to exceeding their minimum sponsorship of £450 each.
