Alfred hits the jackpot with his first new car
Lucky customer, Alfred Tumblety is on the road with a new car thanks to a lucky spin on a Roulette Wheel.
Alfred, 75 from Dundee Street, Fountainpark, drove away with the new Toyota following a Lucky Spin on a ‘Red or Black’ competition to celebrate the re-launching of Genting Club Fountainpark.
Commenting on his lucky win, Alfred said: “I’ve never owned a new car and don’t normally play Roulette, so you can imagine my surprise when I actually won! I collected the car last week from Western Toyota and still can’t believe it’s mine – I’m so thrilled that after all this time, I’ve finally got a new car!”
The competition took place to celebrate the casinos re-launch following a £1.5 million refurbishment, which transformed the Dundee Street venue into a modern, contemporary, leisure destination.
The Red or Black competition to win a car involved 12 players competing in an American Roulette Tournament, with six players on each table. After six spins of the ball, the three players from each table with the most chips went through to the final, where they pitted their wits against the casino’s general manager Pauline Macnamara.
Pauline said: “The player with the most chips on the sixth spin won the car. Although he doesn’t normally play, Mr Tumblety was leading the pack all the way through and, whilst he was very nervous, he held his nerve to win the car. The atmosphere was electric and everyone was so pleased to see the car go to such a worthy winner, especially one who’s never owned a new car before. It’s great to see Alfred and his wife on the road in style!”
Following the refurbishment, Genting Club Fountainpark has a new reception area and Salle Privée, a separate stylish gaming room for exclusive use. The casino’s elegant Fahrenheit Bar and Grill has a smoked glass fronted show kitchen and a menu that focuses on local provenance, including award winning steaks from Henderson’s and Scottish Salmon.
Genting Club Fountainpark is a major employer and plays a key role in the local community, regularly supporting local charities including Marie Curie. The venue is a responsible, professional gaming destination that works closely with GamCare and other organisations to ensure that its customers have a great experience.
