Casino Backs Local Boxer For Cancer Research

Genting Casino Torquay is proud to be supporting local lady, Jade Westcott, who is competing in an Ultra White Collar Boxing fight to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

The bout, which will take place on Sunday 18 December at the Riviera International Conference Centre, will see Jade, 27 enter the ring at 4.30pm to take on her opponent, in aid of the national charity.

Always keen to support members of the local community, Genting Casino was delighted to contribute towards Jade’s efforts, donating £700 to the cause and taking the current fundraising total to a fantastic £1,280.

Talking about what has driven her to take to the ring, Jade said: ““Two of my good friends have lost family members due to this horrible disease earlier this year and having this opportunity allows me to raise money for further research, into one day hopefully finding a cure.

“I never imagined myself in a boxing ring competing against someone else and I am overwhelmed with the amount of encouragement I have received from all my friends and family, and how much I’ve enjoyed the training experience.

“A big thank you goes to Genting Casino Torquay for their very generous donation and support.”
