Casino plays for laughs with Christmas jumpers
Staff and customers at a Blackpool casino will raise the charity stakes and a few smiles too when they wear colourful Christmas jumpers on Friday (16 December).
They will be game for a laugh by swapping their usual attire for festive knitwear at Genting Club Blackpool to raise money for Save the Children. Participants will donate a minimum of £2 to the charity to join in the fun.
The fundraising event at the Queen’s Promenade venue is part of activities for its campaign to Make Christmas Memorable.
The casino is also an official drop-off point for Rock FM’s Mission Christmas Cash for Kids appeal to help local underprivileged children. Genting Club staff and customers can buy an extra toy or gift for children and young people and place it in the collection point at reception for distribution over the festive period.
Marketing advocate Lee Tasker said: “I think everyone deserves to have a memorable Christmas and we will do our bit for those less fortunate to make it happen. It’s a fun time of year and I’m sure our customers and staff will enter into the Christmas spirit.”
In addition to the charity support, the casino has been dressed with Christmas sparkle and is running a celebrity baby quiz competition for diners for a chance to win a meal for up to six people in January. There are other prizes and competitions to be won during the festive season including a December Giveaway prize draw and a Facebook photograph competition.
