Genting hits jackpot for sport relief in 24-hour challenge
Charity minded staff at two Birmingham casinos swapped the gaming tables for trainers in a 24-hour challenge for Sport Relief.
Colleagues at Genting International Casino at Resorts World Birmingham and Genting Club Star City tested their fitness skills around the clock by taking it in turns on sports equipment including an exercise bike, rowing machine and treadmill set up on the gaming floor.
The challenge raised a total of £530.
Murat Bicer, Food & Beverage Manager at Genting International Casino and organiser of the event there, said: “It was a fun but challenging way to raise funds for a fantastic cause. It was great to see lots of our team get involved and our customers enjoyed it too.”
Sandra Mitchell, Deputy General Manager at Genting Club Star City, said: “Our sportathon was a test of stamina but we had lots of encouragement and we were keen to show our support for Sport Relief. We’d like to thank everyone who donated and supported us.”
