Southampton casino staff turned the tables to become star bakers and raise a show stopping £924 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Genting Club Terminus Terrace hosted a fun Bake Off competition, held a traditional tea party and invited customers to buy homemade cakes to raise funds for the charity.
Aran Catozzi, Gaming Manager, said: “We’d like to thank everyone – colleagues and staff – who generously supported the events which were held over three days. It was a fantastic amount raised for a great cause.
“The staff wanted to do something special for Macmillan in memory of a dear colleague who sadly lost her battle with cancer in February.
“The Bake Off competition was a big hit and gave colleagues the chance to show off their cake-making skills. Kirstie Rothwell, Dealer/Inspector, was a worthy winner.”
The traditional tea party, complete with china cups, finger sandwiches, cakes and scones, was staged in the casino’s restaurant.
