Double Delight At Genting’s Got Talent Final
There was double the celebration last night at Genting Club Westcliff as not one but two winners were crowned at the 10th annual Genting’s Got Talent Final.
Indeed, the standards of performance from singers Jamie Bellamy and Laura Evans were so high that the judges, which included X Factor finalist Che Chesterman, Lewis Simmons, Managing Director of Actz Media and a member of the A&R team for Syco Entertainment, Dan Rostami from Actz Media and General Manager for Genting Club Westcliff, Simon Woodford, couldn’t separate them.
They therefore decided to crown them both as winners, awarding them both £500 and a chance to lift the winner’s trophy.
Having already impressed during the heats, which were conducted over the past three months, the finalists took to the stage again in front of the judges and a large crowd to prove why they should be crowned the Genting’s Got Talent champion 2016.
Commenting on the event General Manager, Simon said: “Genting’s Got Talent serves as a fantastic showcase of local talent and the fact that on our 10th anniversary year we have two champions rather than one is testament to what a hotly contested final it was.
“All of the performances were amazing but Jamie and Laura really stood out to us all. We felt that they were both worthy winners and it was a pleasure to announce them as joint victors. Hopefully this will be the start of a bright future in music for them.
“I would like to thank Che, Lewis Simmons and Dan Rostami for giving up their time to join me on the judging panel. The crowd went crazy when Che arrived and again when he got up to sing – it was a pleasure to have him at Genting Club Westcliff and we hope to welcome him back to the stage soon to perform for his fans.”
